LOWEST
FEES ON LONG ISLAND FOR SPAY/NEUTER SERVICES, EXCELLENT
VETERINARY CARE.
Each year over 13,000,000 animals are destroyed because there
are not enough homes for them all. The Kent Animal Shelter's
mission is to help reduce pet overpopulation. The most effective
way of accomplishing this is through spaying and neutering.
The benefits to your pet are numerous and you can take pride
in knowing that you are helping to curb the homeless animal
population .
The Kent Spay/Neuter Clinic offers the lowest prices on Long
Island to the public for dog and cat spaying and neutering.
Over 3000 animal are sterilized each year at our clinic. Three
licensed veterinarians perform the surgery assisted by a professional
staff. Appointments must be made in advance and can be made
by calling 727-7797 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00
p.m.
Having
your pet spayed or neutered is good for your pet, for you, and
your community. Consider the benefits:
You fight
the animal overpopulation problem.
Even though you may be able to find homes for the puppies or
kittens you allow your pet to have, that means there are that
many fewer homes for shelter pets. Our shelters are full! Please
don't take away good homes for pets that are already homeless.
You give
your pet a longer and healthier life.
Most altered animals avoid contracting breast or prostate cancer
and serious infections to the reproductive system. It is a fallacy
that is is "good for your pet" to go through one cycle
or to have one litter. This is simply not true. The earlier
you have your pet spayed or neutered, the better it is for your
pet.
You save
money!
A spayed or neutered pet is less likely to need costly vet care
later in life for breast or prostrate cancer, or infections
of the reproductive system. Many towns offer lower licensing
fees if your pet is spayed or neutered. You can save on tax
dollars too. Your taxes and pet license fees are used to pay
for animal control to rescue, shelter and feed stray animals.
Spaying and neutering pets can reduce the number of unwanted
pets in your community and can lower animal control expenses.
The bottom line is that too many animals suffer and die every
day because there simply are not enough homes for all the pets
we allow to be born. Please help, spay and neuter your pets!
