charge. We accept most vehicles, even if they don't run. Some
restrictions may apply on older vehicles, though. It's easy and
convenient, and you'll be eligible for a tax deduction as
well!
Why
donate my vehicle?
Vehicle
and vessel donations made to a bona fide charitable organization
are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
It's also much easier to
donate your used vehicle than it is to sell it yourself. And the
tax savings might even be more than what you would receive from a
trade in. You’ll be spared the ordeal of selling your
vehicle to a stranger.

by conducting a food drive to help the homeless animals.

Andolena, student at the Albert Prodell Middle School made a difference
in the lives of homeless animals by using his creative talents to
construct a food collection box and conducting his own food drive.
PETCO FOUNDATION RECENTLY AWARDED A GRANT TO THE KENT ANIMAL
SHELTER TO SUPPORT THE LOW COST SPAY/NEUTER PROGRAM THAT IS A KEY
PART OF THE MISSION TO HELP CURB THE NUMBERS OF HOMELESS ANIMALS
THAT FIND THEIR WAY INTO THE STREETS SUBJECTING THEM TO STARVATION,
ABUSE OR OTHER MISFORTUNATE AND OFTEN CRUEL SITUATIONS. ALL PET
OWNERS ARE URGED TO EXERCISE THEIR RESPONSIBILITY AND HAVE THEIR

Kent Animal Shelter has been chosen for the second year in a
row to be a recipient of a $ 10,000.00 spay/neuter grant to help
control the overpopulation of undomesticated cats on the North
Fork of Long Island. There is no fee for the service, however,
donations are gladly accepted. Traps are available at the
shelter 727-5731.
