Kent Animal Shelter Needs A New Facility:
Our Building Campaign
Our facility is currently a campus of buildings consisting of an adoption and administration building, clinic,
cattery, kennel and cat retirement home. These buildings are where Kent's staff and volunteers carry out
rescue, adoption and care services for abandoned, abused or neglected cats and dogs throughout the
area and beyond. They are also where the public comes to visit.
While the needs of the pets that come our way has always been paramount, but it's time to address our
aging facilities. They are outdated, inefficient, and in constant need of repair.
Kent Animal Shelter needs support for a new, updated and expanded 12,000-square-foot facility. Individual
runs with separate drainage and special ventilation to control illness will help ensure the health of shelter
pets. An atrium, soundproofing and a pleasing design will help make the shelter a place where people
will want to come and visit.
Kent Animal Shelter has earned a reputation as a special place, and we need to provide for its long-term
success with proper and fitting facilities. The need for Kent Animal Shelter's no-kill haven, including
animal rescue, adoption, and care services, continues to grow. If you or your business would like to be
part of structural improvements for Kent Animal Shelter, please contact Pam Green, Executive Director, at
